The two children, who are standing next to the carriage and the one on the right side of the picture are dressed in long shirts. On the right side one bigger girl and two women in dresses. One of the women is holding a child in her arms. The man standing between them is holding a basket in his right hand. Gerhard Dahl Elmo Knudsen, born in 1905 in Vejle (Denmark), worked as a missionary in South Africa East (Baziya, Tinana) from 1932 till 1940. In 1933 he married Martha Schmolke in Mvenyane. From 1940 till 1957 he worked as a missionary in the Southern Highlands in Tanganyika. In 1946 he married Judith Mogensen. He died in 1980 in Christansfeld.--Elias Mzuku, coming from Tembuland, was an Evangelist in Xentu (South Africa).
