“Church, Chogoria.” Exterior view of a mud and wattle building with indigenous men and mission workers standing outside. The church was built as a cruciform structure with lattice windows and a distinctive roofed ventilation shaft it was dedicated in June 1923. ❧ This image is from the first years of the Chogoria mission in Kenya, which was run by the Rev. Dr Archibald Clive Irvine (1893-1974), from the collection entitled ‘Chogoria, 1922. The early days.”
