"[Haus?] Mr Grieve". Two men with guns stand outside an enclosed wooden house under construction. On the left is Mr Biuks, whose house is being built, and on the right is possibly Mr Greig the mission engineer with the original expedition of 1891. This image is from a collection of photographs which possibly belonged to Dr Karl Uffman, son of Dr Henry Uffman of the Leprosy Asylum in Purulia, West Bengal. He studied medicine at the University of Edinburgh and joined the Kikuyu mission in Kenya, from 1901 to 1905.
