“Below is my safari.” Landscape view showing two oxen drawn wagons on a dusty road heading for Yala River. Lt. Irvine was posted to a military station at Yala, North of Kisumu, from where he visited the CMS mission at Maseno. ❧ The image is from an album chronicling the war time experiences of Archibald Clive Irvine (1893-1974) in German East Africa and Portuguese East Africa with the Royal Army Medical Corps. During this time he would meet Dr John W Arthur which in turn would lead to his missionary work at Chogoria in Kenya.
