Mozambique Liberation Front (FRELIMO). Communique no. 131 reports from the province of Cabo Delgado: The enemy is more and more isolated, in its guarrisons, unable to move. In an attempt to regain their initiative, the Portuguese intensify the air-bombings: the air raids are almost daily, and launched usually by 16 aircraft - 3 reconnaissance, 8 bombers and 5 helicopters. During the period between 13 April and 20 May, in 3 operations, FRELIMO guerrillas killed 22 colonialist soldiers, and destroyed one military lorry. Also a strategic hamlet was attacked and many people freed.
