Emil Müller (1868-1940) was one of the founders of the missionary work of the Leipzig Mission in German East Africa. From 1893 to 1920 and from 1931 to 1933 he served the Leipzig Mission in Machame, a station founded in 1893. He is the author of a dictionary of the Chagga language published in 1947.
