Mazwi, born in 1859 in Gosen (South Africa), was an indigenous brother and worked as a teacher in Engotini, Enstwasi and for 20 years in Tabase. In Baziya, he was active as an evangelist, national assistant and teacher in the year 1882. He married Clara Dywili born in 1862) and worked as a missionary assistant from 1895 up to 1900 in Tabase, later in Elukolweni.
