The women and the two young girls are wearing dresses or skirts. Petrus Mazwi, son of the teacher and missionary assistant Samuel Mazwi, became pastor in Elukolweni in 1900 and stayed in this position for over 30 years. When he died in 1943 his community had become the biggest in the Eastern Province with 2,329 members.
