"Leben auf einem Häuptlingskraal. Missionarsbesuch beim Oberhäuptling von Tembu-Land" ("Living in a chief kraal. Visitation of the missionary at the house of the chief of Tembuland"). Two women sitting on chairs, two men standing behind them. The African woman is wearing a dark dress and headdress. The European woman is wearing a dark skirt, dark blouse and hat and a jacket. She is holding a stick in her left hand. The men are dressed in suits with ties and hats. Behind them a house. Wilhelm Friedrich Karl Blohm, born in 1884 in Keffenbrinck (Germany), was a carpenter. In 1911 he married Marie Bürger. He started his missionary work in 1911 in Unyamwezi (East Africa). After being imprisoned by the Belgians from 1916 till 1917 he returned to Germany. From 1922 till 1945 he worked as a missionary in Baziya (South Africa). He died in Baziya in 1945. c.f. pictures nos.
