"Naverera im Masailand." ("Naverera in Maasailand.") Photograph of houses with corrugated iron and thatched roofs and canopies built along a path. People are visible on or next to the path. Friedrich (also known as Fritz) Nüssler (1900-1988), from Cologne, worked as a male nurse before serving the Leipzig Mission as a deacon in Machame from 1929 to 1931. Then he worked in Gonja until 1940, apart from a stay in Mbaga from 1933 to 1938.
