"Puiheriwa, Missionary's House". Portrait of three men standing outside a large circular thatched hut. The one to the right of the image holds a book in his hand. Mihecani station was established in the Alto Molocue district of Lomweland, Portuguese East Africa [Mozambique], in 1913, and was situated near the Namuli Mountain. It was known as the children’s mission because the Sunday Schools of Scotland financially supported it. ❧ From a Photograph Album of the Blantyre Mission, Nyasaland [Malawi] and the Mihecani Mission, Portuguese East Africa [Mozambique].
