Group picture of 18 persons arranged in an entrance (on a staircase): 16 Africans (mostly young men dressed in white European shirts, draperies, fezes) and 2 Europeans (white garment) sitting in the middle. Mads Hansen Löbner, born on September 26th, 1868 in Stenderup (Denmark), was a pastor. On April 2nd, 1902 he married Ane Marie Pedersen in Kopenhagen. From 1906-1914 he worked as a missionary in Unyamwezi, from 1906-08 he was stationed in Urambo. In 1908 he was substitute head of the synod. In 1910 he was head in Sikonge and became head of the synod of the Unyamwezi mission in the same year. From 1912 onwards he was in Tabora. In 1914 he was on vacation in Europe. He died in 1922 in Götterup (Denmark).--August Seibt (1875-1943) was a teacher and a missionary of the Moravian Church. He served in Unyamwezi (1904-1916) and Usoke (1930-1937). In 1905 he married Frieda Scholz. They returned to Germany in 1937. c.f. picture no. IMP-HRN-BOX-UNY-1-01943.
