The home for healthy children of leprous parents was at Mangarivotra, near the home of the deaconesses. Ragnhild Omunda Andreassen, maiden name Haerem, was married to Michael Andreassen. He was a missionary in Madagascar from 1887-1892. Ragnhild Omunda Andreassen became a deaconess and worked in Madagascar after her husband's death She returned to Norway in 1922.
