"Vieh-Herde mit der Station im Hintergrund." ("Flock of cattle with the mission station in the background."). Three children pose for the picture in a line. The one on the left carries a stick. All are dressed in dark cloth outfits. The cattle graze in between bushes and trees. In the background three buildings, the two on the right seem to have a reed roof. The picture was probably taken by Johannes Schanz (1876-1963). He worked as a missionary of the Leipzig Mission in Moshi and Mamba from 1901 to 1910.
