Cf. photo no. 77, album no. 18. -- Max Pätzig (1885-1983), from Böhringen in Saxony, was a shoemaker before joining the Leipzig Mission as a pastor. He served in Arusha from 1928 to 1940 (apart from home leave in 1935-1936). He was nominated chief of honour of the Arusha people.
