Karl Emil Lundager, b. 1926. Carpenter/joiner training, 1944-47. Building construction certificate from Haslev Workman School, 1948-49 and 1959-60. Bible school , Oslo, 1952-53. Mission course at Selly Oak Colleges, Birmingham, 1953. Married to Bjørg Marie Fuglestrand from Norway, 1953. Mission work in Nigeria, for Danish United Sudan Mission and Sudan United Mission, British Branch, 1949-71: Hospital- and school building projects in Numan, 1949-50. Building of a big school center in Gindiri, 1950-52, followed by several building projects elsewhere, 1953-59. And from 1960-71, he had other building programs around Bukuri. Then Bjørg and Karl Lundager were sent by DMS to Bukoba, Tanzania, 1971-93. Here building projects included Nyakahanga Hospital, churches and vicarages of the Diocese. Furthermore, Bjørg and Karl Emil Lundager were actively involved in the congregational services of ELCT. In 1994, they returned to Denmark for retirement – after 44 years of mission service to Africa, which they are telling about in a book, published in 2004 - "Afrikas veje – Guds veje: 44 år under tropesol ".
