Entrance to the home of Evangelist Simon Kibarabara, and Gudrun Larsen's (GL) 'Second home' in Tanzania. Simon Kibarabara had been at Ndolage, preparing for a career as a health care assistant, but he had a vocation for working as an evangelist. GL first met Simon in 1950, when he asked for help late one evening. GL was walking along the road with her colleagues. They were laughing about something, when they saw Simon, who had fallen off his bike. He had hurt his leg, and his bike was damaged. Already then GL noticed Simon, as he laughed with them although he had no reason for laughing. But he was able to be pleased with other people's happiness. Simon and his family later became very important to GL. Photo 1984.
