The group consists of Dr Archibald Clive Irvine, his wife, Margaret Joyce and two of their three sons. At the back stands Raymond Carr the only brother of Margaret. Their father, Mr Ernest Carr, moved to Nairobi with his wife and five children in 1920 ❧ Image from the collection of Dr Archibald Clive Irvine (1893-1974) showing the early years of the Chogoria mission, established near Mt Kenya in 1922 and run by Dr Irvine, ministering to the Chuka and Mwimbi peoples.
