"Überfahrt über den Mbaka-Fluss in einem Baumboot der Eingebornen in der Nyassa-Ebene. Schwester Meyer-Kunick mit Heini u. Dora." ("Crossing the Mbaka river in a native dug-out canoe in the Nyassa plains. Sister Meyer-Kunick with Heini and Dora."). Missionary Lydia Meyer-Kunick and her children Heini Meyer and Dora Meyer and a large group of indigenous people are crossing the River. Three people are standing in the foreground at the banks of the river waiting for their arrival. Rich vegetation on the other side of the river. Cf. photo no. 1025. -- Missionary Lydia Meyer-Kunick was the first wife of Missionary Theodor Meyer. She married in 1893 and lived in Rungwe from 1894 to 1907. She died in September 1907 in Rungwe.
