"Trocknen der Handelsware in Mwaja. Ladenhaus u. Stallungen im Bau. Altes Wohnhaus." ("Drying commodities in Mwaya. Shop building a[nd] stables in the course of construction. Old residential building."). View of a yard in which fabric has been hung up on lines and has been spread out on the ground. Four Africans are sitting on a matt to the left, two are standing in front of the lines, two Africans, dressed in white, and Missionary Stolz (?) are standing next to a table on the right. On the right side, a thatched house has been depicted partly. In the background: abe long building with a scaffold and two workers on top of it. Behind that building, a tall tree towers into the sky.
