"Das Missionshaus in Kyimbila. Auf der Veranda sitzend Geschw. Schnabel." ("The mission house in Kyimbila. Brethren Schnabel sitting on the veranda."). A rectangular, longish building with a veranda. A stair leads down to the garden. The Schnabels, sitting on the veranda, are hardly recognizable. In the foreground on the left and right: trees that frame the image. Ernst Hermann Schnabel (1904-1953) was a missionary of the Herrnhuter Brüdergemeine and served in East Africa until the end of the 1930s. In 1934, he married Käthe Prellwitz in Kyimbila. -- Werner Hauffe (1909-1982) was a carpenter and later a missionary of the Herrnhuter Brüdergemeine. From 1933 to 1939, he served in Rungwe, Utengule and Isoko. In Utengule he was an assistant to Brother Gemuseus. In 1937 he married Irmgard Wolff.
