Ten children holding small tree branches pose around a seated European missionary sister and an indigenous sister who stands behind her. Postcard issued by the "Collection de L'oeuvre Pontificale de la Sainte Enfance - 44, rue du Cherche-Midi - Paris (6e)." The back of the postcard is blank and contains information about the publisher: "L'Oeuvre de la Saint-Enfance baptise chaque annee pres de 500.000 petits infideles. Elle en eleve pres de Un million. De 1843 a 1930, elle a fait baptiser 25 millions d'enfants et a envoye aux missions 350 millions de francs." ("The Work of Saint-Childhood baptizes each year nearly 500,000 indigenous children. It brings up nearly one million. From 1843 to 1930, it has baptized 25 million infants and raised 350 million francs for missions").
