Six missionary sisters pose with a large group mostly comprised of children. Behind them stands a stone grotto and a statue of the virgin. The back of the postcard has a handwritten note in French, along with a printed title "Nouveaux chretiens venus prier a la grotte" ("New Christians come to pray at the the cave"), the name of the mission agency "Mission Catholique du Cameroun francais, Afrique occidentale - Religieuses de la Sainte-Union des Sacres-Coeurs", and the name of the publisher "Ern. Thill, Burxelles".
