At the center of the image is a large tree, to the right stands a two story structure with a wide porch, to the left stand at least three single story structures, also with porches, one with a bell. The back of the postcard is blank, with a printed title: "Cameroun - Maisons Missionnaires de Douala" ("Missionary houses of Douala") and an address for the publisher: "Ste des Missions Evangeliques, 102, Bd Arago, Paris" The Société des Missions Evangéliques was a Protestant organization known in English as the Paris Evangelical Missionary Society.
