"Udsigt fra Betafo station" ("View from the Betafo Mission Station"). "Tsimanova" is the area of houses in the foreground where John Engh and Martinius Borgen started missionary work in 1867. John Engh was a missionary in South Africa from 1865-1866 and in Madagascar from 1866-1899. He married Johanne Mathilde 1843-1921, maiden name Abel, on September 7, 1867 in Tananarive. Martinius Borgen 1834-1915, a missionary in Madagascar from 1867-1882 and in South Africa from 1885-1901. He died in Durban in 1915. He married Martha Nikoline 1843-1918, maiden name Hirsch, on December 10, 1871 in Madagascar. She was a missionary in Madagascar from 1870-1882 and in South Africa from 1885-1918. She died in Mangiluè Zululand in 1918.
