Two women on a path leading away from the station in Wittewater, Wittewater, South Africa, 1894

1894

"Wittewater am Berge." ("Wittewater at the mountain."). The picture shows two women of probably African origin on a road leading away from the station in Wittwater. Behind them a couple of houses with thatched roofs, trees and probably a barn. In the background on the right a mountain. Imprinted on the image but difficult to read since only part of what is written appears on the photography: "Wittewater". Photography probably taken by Brother L. Marx in 1894.
