Dinner of the mission station people, Baziya, South Africa East

"Baziya. Utabeliza. Für die Stationsleute gibt es Gedecke. Danach Tee und Brot. Die Dorfleute essen ohne Geräte. Ihr Getränk ist Hoasbier" ("Baziya. Utabeliza. For the people of the station there are menus. After it tea and bread. The village people are eating without knife and fork. Their beverage is Hoas beer."). In the front a man with hat, standing with his back to the photographer. He is looking in the direction of a woman who is standing left to him next to a well-laid table. She is filling the cups. Behind the table a child looking curiously and other people sitting. On the right side next to other tables another man in a suit sitting. Wilhelm Friedrich Karl Blohm, born in 1884 in Keffenbrinck (Germany), was a carpenter. In 1911 he married Marie Bürger. He started his missionary work in 1911 in Unyamwezi (East Africa). After being imprisoned by the Belgians from 1916 till 1917 he returned to Germany. From 1922 till 1945 he worked as a missionary in Baziya (South Africa). He died in Baziya in 1945.
