A child is standing at the very front, wearing a light-coloured dress and a headdress. Behind the child, another person is sitting in the meadow. The surrounding is marked by a hilly countryside. Samuel Baudert (1879-1956), born as son of the missionary Samuel Baudert in South Africa, was mission director of the Moravian Church from 1924 to 1927 and since 1929 their bishop.
