Missionaries with students outside Ambohipotsy College. This print is one of a set taken by the commercial photographer Ramilijaona specifically for exhibition at L'Exposition Coloniale de Paris in 1931. Ramilijaona, who had begun working as a photographer in 1894, ran one of the largest studios in Madagascar, taking many family portraits against his trade mark classical backdrops.
