The Queen gives her proclamation from the traditional platform, surrounded by thousand of her subjects, with the city of Tananarive [now Antananarivo] in the background. The Queen was exiled in 1897 following the French occupation. Part of set of commercially produced and mounted prints stamped "Reg.d No. 248817
