Portrait of Lars Jacobsen Roestvig, Madagascar, ca.1874

Lars Jakobsen Roestvig was a missionary in Madagascar from 1874-1911. He attended The School of Mission and Theology 1868-1873. He received the St. Olavs Order in 1912. In Morondava, Madagascar on September 10, 1876 he married Anne Elisabeth 1846-1878, maiden name Figved. After she died he married Martha Serine 1862-1941, maiden name Olsen, in Tulear, Madagascar on April 14, 1881.
