The North western Diocese, Tanzania, 1984. There is a kitchen inside the Ntoma Home Craft School building, but due to frequent shortages of gas and kerosene (the school does not have electricity), many classes are taught outside using a cooking fire and three stones. (Missionary Gudrun Larsen tells: The girl sitting at the front comes from the Region invaded by Uganda's army during the war between Tanzania and Uganda at the time of Idi Amin. The girl had been caugt in a crossfire, and she dropped to the ground, but then she thought: I will not get out from here alive, I may just as well stand up. So she did, and she survived. Later when Gudrun Larsen asked her, she told that praying to God had helped her through that moment).
