Ellen Margrethe Christensen, b. 1920. Nursing training, 1942-45. Course at the Parish Folk High School, Marthabo, 1946-48. One year's education at the Women's Missionary College, St. Colm's, Edinburgh, 1948-49. Midwifery training in Edinburgh, 1949-50. Tropical Medicine Course in London, 1951. Sent by DMS to Tanganyika/Tanzania, 1951-1987. Working places: Nurse- and midwifery assignments at hospital/clinics in Ndolage, Rwantege and Nyakahanga, 1952-66, replacing coworkers on leave. Head of the Izimbya Clinic, 1967-87. After 36 years of missionary service in Tanzania, Ellen Margrethe Christensen, retired from DMS in 1987. She died in Denmark, 1993.
