Two men and two boys are harrowing with camels, near the road to the Pyramids of Gizeh (Giza) in Egypt. The two boys are sitting on the harrow to weigh it down and one man is standing on it, while the second man leads the two camels forward with ropes. The camels are both supporting one end of a wooden beam which is dragging the harrow. Both camels have blankets and other supplies on their backs. Harrows are farm implements used to turn soil, reduce weeds and prepare the soil for the planting of seeds. Harrows differ from plows in that they only disturb the surface of the soil, while plows generally penetrate deeper, (1913).
