Ancient Egypt - Metal Working (2 of 2)

A print depicting metal working in ancient Egypt. Fires are being blown by bellows, a crucible is held over the fire, and workmen are carrying tongs. Molten metal is then poured from the crucible, and a basket of fuel is emptied. This image was taken from a print from the Metropolitan Museum of Art in New York. The picture shows Egyptians working the fires, and also the laborers walk over heated metal on special blocks beneath their feet, (1930).
