Addis Ababa, Ethiopia - A Poor Side Street, Native Huts

1930

A poor side street in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia, containing huts with thatched roofs. The roofs are supported by sticks. Huts are surrounded by fences made of interwoven sticks and what appears to be a stone wall on the left hand side. Six people are either walking in the street or are sitting or standing in front of the huts. Numerous tall trees and a forest are visible over the huts, (1930).
