The father and oldest son hold spears. The back of the postcard is blank with a printed address for the publisher: "Ste des Missions Evangeliques, 102, Bd Arago, Paris." The Société des Missions Evangéliques was a Protestant organization known in English as the Paris Evangelical Missionary Society.
