One of a group of fragments of Coptic textiles purchased by the museum in the 1960s, when the Textile Division was tasked with presenting to the public the history of textile techniques and technology. The textiles of Coptic Egypt were (and are) famed for their designs and the range of techniques employed. Currently not on view
