The Turkana man is wearing a traditional "mud pack" hairdo. Blue "seguta" clay obtained near Lake Rudolph is packed over a period of time into the hair so that the hair grows into it. The hair style is decorated with ostrich feathers that are inserted into dried goat teats previously imbedded in the clay.
