Canopic jar@eng

Canopic jar filled almost to the rim with a black solid content, embalmed inner organs(?). The lid is in the shape of a falcon.@eng MME 2014:001 Transferred from Statens Historiska Museer och Kungliga Myntkabinettet on 2014-10-28. The objects was previously transferred on 1829-10-17 from Kungl. Vetenskapsakademien to the Kungl. Myntkabinettet. Cf. Letter from Lagerqvist 930330. Note that other objects in 530:1-17 had been previously integrated with the collection.@eng Note that the lid does not fit the jar and is likely to have belonged to another jar originally.@eng Egypt@eng
