The road from Adigrat to

The road from Adigrat to Makale , the next objective of the Italian army , in the most difficult grounds the invaders have yet encountered ._x000D_ The big transport lorries which are moving up men and supplies have to be steered round 1500 hairpin bends . The road , little more than a track only permits one way traffic , and any vehicle which falls foul of one of the many hazardous is abandoned , for it is useless to attempt to put it back on the road . So far 17 vehicles have been smashed . _x000D_ Photo shows , Italian transport lorries on the hazardous road to Makale .
