The United States Legation officials in Addis Ababa are co - operating with the British Legation in ensuring the safety of foreigners threatened by the mobs of Abyssinia who are looting the caoital and murdering recklessly . _x000D_
Reports that mobs were approaching his legation prompted Mr Engert , the American Minister , to ask British officials to send lorries to the Legation to take away Greks , Russians and Americans , who were seeking refuge there . _x000D_
