Specimen determined by J L Amiet; however its call does not resemble other Ptychadena Mascareniensis. An exemplar can be seen at the Natural History Museum BM NH FN1360-1361. Visually identified according to the Natural History Museum BM (NH) 1984. 348-349. There is also some background faint sound of hammering and voices. Recording environment: Tropical freshwater pool in a muddy puddle on the roadside.
