This song is a traditional tune from the repertoire of the lashuar, very short, communal songs that used to be played at family gatherings. It describes a little river and well nomads used to use as a source of water. This is a very characteristic Saharawi song about the Saharan landscape of Zemur. Songs dealing with the theme of landscape are traditional known as adlal. It was written and composed by the singer's uncles when they lived in that part of the desert as nomads and it recreates a feeling of nostalgia. The performance occasion was a private session at the cultural centre of Ausserd camp. Mariem Mouloud, expert in traditional music, was playing the traditional tbal drum. Traditional Saharawi music was always played with only voice and drum. It's very quiet music, to be able to listen to the words.
