When in Bamba he arrived from Senegal he was very clear that despite being away, he wanted to work to help his country and, above all, with the collaboration of the people here. He has achieved this at the head of Djilandiang, a group that at the rate of gembés explains the traditions, the values of African culture, especially the importance of oral transmission of knowledge, with grandparents as a reference in their society. A portion of the income they have with the group is allocated to their projects in Senegal. In Bamba he lives in Artés, where he has felt very well received and welcomed, mainly by his wife, Catalan, and his family. We will hear in Bamba speak and sing in diola, the language of some 400.000 people in the Casamance region, in southern Senegal.
