A whole world: Betim reew (outside the country)

In the five years that Mactar Thiam Fall, better known as Mahu, makes it in Catalonia, has learnt Catalan and Spanish and has dared to publish two conversation guides between the wòlof and these two languages and an unpublished wòlof-español dictionary. These days, is ending to correct the first dictionary wòlof-Catalan. But the Mahu not only works for the dissemination of Catalan amongst the speakers of wòlof It also teaches this language to people interested in knowing it or who have a partner who speaks it, like Helen. In recent years, the Mahu has produced and directed a series of documentary films entitled ‘Betim reew\’ (outside the country), with which it wants to open a public debate in Senegal on the exodus of young people to Europe and its consequences as well as publicising the reality of people who have immigrated.
