Limpopo Line

1989

The story of the rebuilding of a key railway line Zimbabwe to the Port of Maputo, blocked by repeated sabotage. Zimbabwean troops join Mozambican troops to protect the first train to travel down the Limpopo line since apartheid sponsored bandits began their destruction. We travel through the apocalyptic badlands of Gaza with the remains of train convoys littering the line on either side. The train survives an ambush, and sabotage, but finally makes it to Maputo leaving behind the injured. An inspiring story of collaboration and courage.
